Join Western Fremont Historical Society for the beginning of Howard History Center’s 2026 season at our Open House Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. The Howard History Center is located at 70 CR 56 (across from Howard Hall) in Howard, Colorado. Free Admission.
Our featured exhibit highlights new additions to our map collection. Come view old ownership maps in the Coaldale, Hardscrabble, and Penrose areas. Explore Colorado and Kansas through highly detailed historic maps. Nancy Colvin Hirleman’s historical map of Custer County will also be on display. Visit with our Historians, ask questions, and share your memories of our area. We look forward to seeing you there!
