Ensuring Safety in Every Moment
Arkansas Valley Ambulance District: Your Lifeline in Emergencies
Committed to delivering exceptional emergency medical services, the Arkansas Valley Ambulance District (AVAD) stands as a beacon of hope and care for our community.

Dedicated to Excellence in Emergency Care
Emergency medical services (EMS) in rural mountainous communities face unique challenges that can significantly impact response times and patient outcomes. One of the primary difficulties is geographic isolation, where vast distances and rugged terrain make it difficult for ambulances to reach patients quickly. Winding roads, steep inclines, and unpredictable weather conditions—such as heavy snowfall or rockslides—can further delay emergency response, sometimes requiring specialized vehicles or air transport to access remote locations.
Despite these challenges, AVAD EMS volunteers remain dedicated to serving the Pleasant Valley community, often going above and beyond to ensure residents receive the emergency care they need.
