Wildfire Mitigation Workshop — Coming to Howard!

If you’ve ever looked at your property and thought, “Hmm… maybe the trees are a little too friendly with the house,” then good news: Shea Garcia from Arkansas River Watershed Health is riding into Howard on Saturday, October 17th to help us all get a handle on wildfire mitigation before the next dry breeze decides to get ideas.< /br>< /br>

Shea will be hosting a free, public workshop at the Howard Volunteer Fire Department Station starting at 10:00 a.m. Expect practical tips, smart strategies, and maybe a few “Oh wow, I should’ve done that years ago” moments.< /br>< /br>

Bring your curiosity, your questions, and maybe that neighbor who keeps saying they’ll “get around to it.”< /br>< /br>

Everyone is welcome — and it won’t cost you a dime.
