DESCRIPTION:If you’ve ever looked at your property and thought\, “Hmm… maybe the trees are a little too friendly with the house\,” then good news: Shea Garcia from Arkansas River Watershed Health is riding into Howard on Saturday\, October 17th to help us all get a handle on wildfire mitigation before the next dry breeze decides to get ideas.< /br>< /br> \nShea will be hosting a free\, public workshop at the Howard Volunteer Fire Department Station starting at 10:00 a.m. Expect practical tips\, smart strategies\, and maybe a few “Oh wow\, I should’ve done that years ago” moments.< /br>< /br> \nBring your curiosity\, your questions\, and maybe that neighbor who keeps saying they’ll “get around to it.”< /br>< /br> \nEveryone is welcome — and it won’t cost you a dime.
