SUMMARY:Coaldale Schoolhouse Mountain Market: Midweek Magic in the Valley
DESCRIPTION:There’s something special about a Wednesday in Coaldale. The sun leans a little softer over the Sangres\, the breeze carries the scent of creek water and cottonwoods\, and the old Schoolhouse — that red‑roofed sentinel of local history — opens its doors to the community once again. \nBeginning June 10th\, the Coaldale Schoolhouse Mountain Market returns for another season of neighborly bustle and small‑town delight. From 4–6 p.m. each Wednesday\, the grounds transform into a lively gathering place where growers\, bakers\, artists\, and artisans share the best of what they create. You’ll find crisp produce\, veggie and flower starts ready for your garden\, warm loaves and sweet treats\, and a colorful spread of handmade goods that reflect the creativity of Pleasant Valley. \nBut the market is more than a place to shop — it’s a place to connect. Kids chase each other across the lawn\, locals linger in conversation\, and newcomers discover just how much heart this valley holds. The Schoolhouse\, perched at 287 Hayden Creek Road\, becomes a weekly reminder of why we choose to live here: community\, craft\, and the simple joy of gathering under the mountains. \nWhether you’re stocking your pantry\, hunting for the perfect gift\, or just craving a dose of midweek mountain magic\, the Coaldale Schoolhouse Mountain Market is ready to welcome you.

SUMMARY:Tim Hadler Brings His Nashville‑to‑Branson Sound to Coaldale
DESCRIPTION:2025 Male Vocalist of the Year – Tim Hadler\nA Tribute to George Strait in “Strait to Branson”\n\nTim was born as the youngest of nine children and raised on a farm in the foothills of the volcano Mount Saint Helens in Washington State. He jokes that his first audience was the cows he used to sing to on the farm. \nSince those days of farming\, he’s always loved to sing and dreamed of someday taking his talent to Nashville and beyond. It was never so much to be a “star” but to be able to help those in need because he could. At the age of ten he started having the calling to help especially the lost and homeless. As a young lad he’d wake up in the middle of the night hearing THE voice to “please help”! His influence in this came he believes from his family’s roots. His mother and father instilled in all their children to help others in all that you do. Giving out food baskets to the hungry during the holidays and being at the communities’ beck and call for anything was a normal thing in his childhood that his mother and father never failed to deliver on. \nAt the age of 20 he did move to Nashville and two years later fulfilled a dream of singing on the world-famous Grand Ole Opry. This opportunity opened the door to many things including landing a recording contract with a major producer in Nashville landing 2 songs in the top 100 songs on the Music Row Chart as well as an invite to move to Branson\, Missouri and entertain. \nHe’s been touring the country ever since and has been a Branson Entertainer now for 24 years. He is the founder of GUMI CAMP which GUMI stands for Glad U Made It and it’s his opportunity to fulfill his childhood dream and help those in most need. GUMI specializes in helping America’s Veterans. To learn more about the Veterans Resources Center Tim founded\, please go to gumicampusa.com. And be sure to watch Tim’s most popular videos below. \nTim currently performs over 100 shows a year in Branson paying tribute to the legendary George Strait in “Strait to Branson”. While not performing in Branson he winters in South Texas performing shows on South Padre Island in the winter and in the spring and summer months you may just happen to see him performing near or in your hometown touring from Nashville to the Northwest to the Great Lakes area in Minnesota. Though life gets busy\, he never loses sight of his roots and returns every summer to spend precious time with his mother and siblings and family camping and fishing in the foothills of Mount Saint Helens.

SUMMARY:Patsy O’Brien Returns to the Coaldale Schoolhouse
DESCRIPTION:On the afternoon of Sunday\, April 19\, MSP (Mighty Squirrel Productions) is honored to host the return of Patsy O’Brien to the Schoolhouse. I’ve lost count of how many times he’s played at the Schoolhouse but his first show there was a few weeks before the 2020 lockdown (merely a coincidence\, he’s totally innocent). He’s a wonderful songwriter\, guitarist and performer and will share new songs and old favorites. He’s also a good interpreter of traditional ballads – his song “Jack ‘Brien” sounds like it could be very old\, though he wrote it only a few years ago for the Durango Celtic Festival\, listen here. \n“His phenomenal guitar wizardry has been compared to an Irish Tommy Emmanuel. He has bridged the gap between traditional Celtic/Irish styles of guitar and more modern jazz\, rock and roots/Americana influences and is also an accomplished singer-songwriter and vocalist. Plus\, he’s funny and engaging in concert\, with that twinkle in his eye that reaches back to the Emerald Isle”.\nAdvance tickets are $20 here\, if any remain at the door they will be $25. Seating will be capped at 90. Doors at 3:30\, concert at 4:00 pm.

SUMMARY:Colorado's Fruit Growing History & Old Colorado Apples
DESCRIPTION:The Western Fremont Historical Society invites the community to a rich and flavorful look into Colorado’s agricultural past with a special presentation\, Colorado’s Fruit Growing History and Old Colorado Apples. Produced by the Montezuma Orchard Restoration Project\, this program traces the evolution of Colorado orchards from the early 1900s to today\, highlighting the heirloom apple varieties that once defined the region’s farms and homesteads. \nAttendees will learn how early orchardists shaped rural Colorado\, why so many historic apple varieties nearly disappeared\, and how ongoing restoration efforts are bringing these old cultivars back to life. The presentation includes historical context\, orchard‑period insights\, and a closer look at the rare apples still being rediscovered across the state. \nAdmission is free\, and donations are appreciated to help cover the cost of the building rental. For more information\, contact Cinde McPhail at 719‑239‑4665\, or visit the Western Fremont Historical Society online or on Facebook.
