Produced by the Montezuma Orchard Restoration Project\, this program traces the evolution of Colorado orchards from the early 1900s to today\, highlighting the heirloom apple varieties that once defined the region’s farms and homesteads. \nAttendees will learn how early orchardists shaped rural Colorado\, why so many historic apple varieties nearly disappeared\, and how ongoing restoration efforts are bringing these old cultivars back to life. The presentation includes historical context\, orchard‑period insights\, and a closer look at the rare apples still being rediscovered across the state. \nAdmission is free\, and donations are appreciated to help cover the cost of the building rental.
