Adair also made history as Colorado’s first female psychologist\, breaking barriers while nurturing generations of students and community members. \nThe afternoon promises fellowship\, refreshments\, and a chance to connect with others who share a passion for preserving Western Fremont County’s rich heritage. DESCRIPTION:The Western Fremont Historical Society is offering a rare opportunity for local growers\, backyard orchardists\, and curious beginners to learn the art of grafting heritage apple trees. This hands‑on workshop\, Heritage Apple Tree Grafting\, will be held Sunday\, April 12\, 2026\, from 1–3 PM at the Coaldale Community Building. \nParticipants will learn how to graft heritage apple scion onto rootstock\, how to care for newly grafted trees\, and how to successfully plant and maintain them in a home garden or orchard. Each attendee will graft two apple trees to take home\, with additional rootstock and scion available for purchase during the class. \nThe workshop fee is $10 per person\, and space is limited to 20 participants\, ensuring plenty of one‑on‑one guidance.
