  • Western Fremont Historical Society Annual Meeting

    Don’t miss this year’s Western Fremont Historical Society Annual Meeting on Saturday, April 18, from 1–3 PM at the Historic Coaldale Schoolhouse. Featured speaker Joan Adair, a 95‑year‑old area pioneer and Colorado’s first female psychologist, will share stories from a life devoted to teaching, ranching, and philanthropy. Join neighbors for fellowship, refreshments, and the annual election of board members — all while celebrating the heritage that binds Western Fremont County together.

    The Western Fremont Historical Society kicks off its 2026 season with an Open House at the Howard History Center on Sunday, May 31 from 1–3 p.m. Explore newly added historic maps — from the Oregon Trail to early Coaldale ownership — and connect with neighbors who help keep our valley’s stories alive.

  • Wheels of Time Car Show

    WFHS History Center 70 County Road 56, Howard, United States

    The Western Fremont Historical Society hosts its 4th Annual “Wheels of Time” Car Show on Saturday, June 20, with free vehicle registration at 9 a.m. and the show running 10–2 in Howard. Enjoy classic cars, trucks, and motorbikes around the Square, plus lunch at Howard Hall, trolley history tours, exhibits, and open‑mic entertainment. Free admission for all — come show your ride or cheer on your favorites.
