It’s the perfect midweek stop to stock up, catch up, and soak up the charm of our mountain community.

Howard Hall is celebrating National Ice Cream Day with a community ice cream social and bake sale on Sunday, July 19, from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Expect sundaes and floats by donation, plus cornhole and balloon animals to keep things lively. If you’d like to contribute baked goods, drop them off after 10:30 AM the morning of the event. All proceeds support Howard Hall’s general operations.

The booking agent for musician Sam Robbins has notified organizers that Sam’s Colorado tour plans have changed, and he must cancel his Pleasant Valley appearance. His “anchor show” elsewhere in the state fell through, making the trip no longer feasible. The Schoolhouse hosts rising singer‑songwriter Sam Robbins for an evening concert on August 1. Often called an “old‑soul troubadour,” Sam’s sound blends the warmth of James Taylor and Jackson Browne with a modern, upbeat edge. His song “Hard to Hate” shows exactly why audiences—and festivals like Kerrville and Falcon Ridge—have embraced him. Critics are already calling him “one of the most promising new songwriters of his generation.”

Christ Chapel of the Sangres hosts a community potluck on Sunday, August 2 at 5 PM, serving smoked BBQ and inviting neighbors to bring sides and desserts.
