    Howard Hall is celebrating National Ice Cream Day with a community ice cream social and bake sale on Sunday, July 19, from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Expect sundaes and floats by donation, plus cornhole and balloon animals to keep things lively. If you’d like to contribute baked goods, drop them off after 10:30 AM the morning of the event. All proceeds support Howard Hall’s general operations.

    The booking agent for musician Sam Robbins has notified organizers that Sam’s Colorado tour plans have changed, and he must cancel his Pleasant Valley appearance. His “anchor show” elsewhere in the state fell through, making the trip no longer feasible.     The Schoolhouse hosts rising singer‑songwriter Sam Robbins for an evening concert on August 1.
