The Western Fremont Historical Society invites the community to an Open House at the Howard History Center on Sunday, June 28 from 1–3 p.m. or on July 4 from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. at 70 CR 56 in Howard. Admission is free.

This month’s featured exhibit showcases new additions to the Society’s historic map collection, including the Colorado Territory map, early ownership maps from Coaldale, Hardscrabble, and Penrose, detailed maps of Colorado and Kansas, and Nancy Colvin Hirleman’s historical map of Custer County. Visitors are encouraged to explore the displays, chat with the Society’s historian, and share local memories.
